About Us
Renee and Mike Child are the 29th recipients of the UC Davis Medal.
The medal is the university's highest honor.
The couple met as undergraduates at UC Davis in the early 1970s.
The Childs' gift of $5.5 million created the Mike and Renee Child Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in 2011.
They are in company with 2020 Nobel Laureate Charles Rice, artist Wayne Thiebaud.
