A 16-year-old Japanese girl is in critical condition after being struck by a train while walking on the tracks near her family's home in Osaka, police say.
The girl, identified as Hajime Honda, was on her way home from school Wednesday when she was hit by the train, authorities say.
She was taken to a local hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, the AP reports.
