The Columbus Crew's Darlington Nagbe is one of Major League Soccer's newest stars, but he's not the only one making a difference in his hometown.
The Major League Soccer All-Star Game is being held in Columbus, Ohio, for the 2024 season, and the league has selected four local nonprofits as " Hometown Heroes."
Each will receive a $15,000 grant and will be honored at an event during the week of the game, reports the Columbus Dispatch.
"I don't know if 'heroes' is a strong enough word for these organizations and the people who work for them," says Peter Kaldis of RBC Wealth Management, which helped select the nonprofits.
