Blackbaud'S 2023 Impact Report Shows How the Company Is Fueling Change

Blackbaud, a software company, has been named to Newsweek's list of the country's top employers for the second year in a row.

The honor comes after the company released its annual report on social, environmental, and governance practices.

Here are some of the highlights from the report, which was compiled by consulting firm CDP: Carbon neutrality: The company aims to be carbon neutral by 2023, meaning it doesn't use fossil fuels.

Employees volunteered more than 3.2 million hours in 2023, and the company reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 21% in 2018 over the previous year.

Employee engagement: 91% of Blackbaud employees say they feel important to the company, and 70% of them volunteered in 2018.

Water use: The company cut its water use by 45% in 2018 over the previous year.

Security: Blackbaud's cloud-based security solution is designed to protect against ransomware and malware.
