Ryan Hendershot is a first-grade teacher in Massillon, Ohio, who also coaches the school softball team and lives with his wife and two daughters.
But that's not all he does.
"I love cooking and have worked on a cooking line in a restaurant," the 31-year-old tells the Canton Repository.
"Also watching a good softball game."
Hendershot is this year's Repository Teacher of the Year in the Massillon City School District.
Hendershot says the best part of his job is watching his students grow.
"They go from little kids to big boys and big girls," he says.
"Very rewarding feeling to watch them grow up and succeed."
