The University of South Florida is teaming up with the non-profit Tampa Bay Wave to create a new accelerator program for health care startups, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 90-day HealthTech|X Accelerator will be housed at the USF Health's Center for Medical Learning and Simulation and the WAVE Venture Center in the downtown Tampa Medical District.
The accelerator will offer one-on-one mentoring with investors and industry experts, pitch coaching, investment readiness training, and more.
"This innovative initiative, scheduled to launch in mid-2024, marks a significant milestone in fostering innovation, supporting high-potential healthtech startups, and promoting entrepreneurship in the Tampa Bay region," says Linda Olson, CEO of Tampa Bay Wave.
