For more than a decade, Dr. Saroj Gupta has been treating patients at University Health in Kansas City, Mo., where she is now the chief medical officer.
Now she's bringing her expertise to a new area of her specialty: women's health.
Gupta, who holds a bachelor's degree in dental surgery and an executive MBA from Rockhurst University, is the co-founder and CEO of MyDigiRecords, a website that connects women with doctors and empowers them to make better health decisions, the Kansas City Star reports.
The site's mission: "to empower women to make more informed health decisions by providing them with the tools and information they need to make more informed decisions about their health," she says.
Gupta is one of five trailblazing women entrepreneurs named on Business Insider's list of the "5 trailblazing women entrepreneurs" in the health care industry.
The others are Ritika Jain at Nutrabooti, Nupur Jha at DC Doctor's Choice, and Aarti Gill at Oziva.
