If you're between the ages of 18 and 35, have "relevant work, field, or study academic experience with a demonstrated track record in and commitment to: Justice issues or sustainable innovation or environmental advocacy or community and grassroots organization," and are "committed to building a better future for your region, this program might be just for you," the Island Innovation Caribbean Climate Justice Leaders Academy says on its website.
The course, which will run from mid-July 2023 to January 2024, is open to anyone who's lived in the Caribbean for at least 10 years and has "the opportunity to mentor and guide the next cohort of the program and build long-lasting relationships to help accelerate climate action," per the application.
In addition to weekly training sessions and access to an online platform where you'll learn about climate justice,Networking and interactive sessions, you'll also get to travel to the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai, " broadening the reach and impact of your conversations for a positive Caribbean future," per the application.
