A New Mexico nonprofit has been named one of America's "most visionary art centers for youth development" by CNN.
Now, Moving Arts Espaola is getting ready to open a new Digital Media Lab that will offer video and cinema production, editing, music production, and culinary arts as well as career counseling and behavioral health services to young adults who've graduated from its youth arts programs, the Albuquerque Journal reports.
"For Moving Arts Espaola, $200,000 is transformational and has given us an amazing opportunity to teach skills that help students grow into careers they love," says Salvador Ruiz, executive director and co-founder of Moving Arts Espaola.
"Most of the money we raised came from the people of Northern New Mexico and those who want to support the kids who live here."
