Hundreds of black students in Fort Myers, Fla., got a chance Tuesday to meet with local black innovators at a special event called Youth Innovation Night: Unleash Your Superpowers, the News-Press reports.
"The goal was to ignite creativity and empower students," says the Lee County Black History Society, which partnered with the Edison Awards and the Lewis Latimer fellowship program for the event.
"They got to check out interactive exhibits and meet with professionals."
