"I realized everything I'd been doing in high school and my life were basically business processes and strategy and management."
That's how Erin Lee describes her path to a joint undergraduate degree in business and music at Newfoundland's Memorial University.
Lee is one of the first graduates of the unique program, which combines business and music degrees, the CBC reports.
Lee says studying business principles helped her make a difference in her high school's Fridays for Future chapter, an international climate justice initiative started by Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.
"I found that the more I got into the program, the more I realized everything I'd been doing in high school and my life were basically business processes and strategy and management," Lee says.

Lee was also on the Dean's List at the business school and won the Wendy Hannam Bursary in Business for her university and community involvement.
She's been an active volunteer at Memorial University and says her studies have helped her make more of a difference in those roles.
