One Lexington holds youth engagement program in Gainesway neighborhood

A crime-ridden apartment complex in Lexington, Ky., is getting better at keeping its residents safe, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports.

Over the past two months, non-violent crimes committed by kids at the Falcon Crest Apartments have dropped 50%.

"A lot of that work is prevention, which is how do we get to young people before they get in that cycle," says a local activist.

On Monday, the One Lexington group gave out candy and snacks to kids at the complex.
