Andaratu Abubakar is an Assistant Head Teacher at Police Barracks Basic Model School, Tamale, Northern Ghana.
She was a pivotal figure in a Gavi-funded and JSI-implemented school-based vaccination project.
The project's success was a Vaccination Register, used in the classroom to track each child's vaccination status.
This innovation was later adapted for primary schools, where it became a critical resource.
