The US isn't the only country struggling with high unemployment.
South Africa, for instance, has a 45% unemployment rate among people ages 15 to 34, compared to the national average of 32,9%, reports the Washington Post.
The problem is especially pronounced in rural areas, where young people are especially vulnerable to joblessness, notes the Post.
The Development Bank of Southern Africa, however, has stepped in to try to change that in a big way: It's invested in a number of projects led by young people there, including one that has trained 106 young people in AI and robotics, reports the Post.
