That's the vision of Thomas Jefferson University College of Nursing, which this year became the first college of nursing in Pennsylvania to be Apple Distinguished School.
The distinction is bestowed on schools that use state-of-the-art technology to "prepare learners to excel in sophisticated technological environments," per a press release.
Jefferson's Dixon Campus in the Philadelphia suburb of Horsham is home to the Raynier Institute & Foundation Center for Advanced Education, Simulation, and Innovation, a 42,000-square-foot state-of-the-art center that uses 3D printing, virtual reality, and other technologies to simulate real-life clinical situations.
The center "enables expert simulation faculty to create engaging and realistic experiences that accentuate what students learn in the classroom and are utilized to amplify real-life situations at the next level," per the press release.
In addition to virtual reality and simulation rooms, Jefferson's Dixon Campus features a large-scale, state-of-the-art Raynier Institute & Foundation Center for Advanced Education, Simulation, and Innovation Center for Advanced Education, where nurse practitioner students will also have the opportunity to engage in this
