"We continue to innovate, and grow, to address climate change at scale," Dave Regnery, chair and CEO of Trane Technologies, says in a press release.
And that's not just good news for the environment, it's good for the company's bottom line.
The heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) company says in its latest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report that it has reduced 157 million metric tons of carbon emissions since 2019 while "delivering a third consecutive year of more than 20% adjusted EPS growth," the Wall Street Journal reports.
The company says it has also made "substantial progress" toward its 2030 Sustainability Commitments, which include a 50% reduction in carbon emissions and a 2050 net-zero goal, per the press release.
"Our strong sustainability performance begins with our culture, where sustainability is integrated into every role and function and reflects our shared belief in our ability to have a meaningful impact," says Paul Camuti, Trane's chief technology and sustainability officer.
The company says it has reduced energy use by 4% toward its 10% goal, as well as water and waste use by 26% and zero waste to landfill at 85% of its global manufacturing sites, per the press release.
