If you're looking for a four-year degree in Ireland, Munster Technological University is the place for you.
The school, which has campuses in Cork and Kerry, is the first university in the southwest of the country to be established since 1845, per the Irish Times, and it offers more than 140 courses and more than 2,000 staff.
It also has six research centers of excellence and has supported more than 500 start-up businesses, per Inside Higher Ed.
Its annual expenditure is more than $200 million, and it's expanding its research portfolio to include health, computer science, media, maritime studies, architecture, the creative and performing arts, and more.
"We scale up research and innovation to further inform our teaching," a university spokesman says.
MTU is also working to build a "globally connected region that is an exemplar for sustainable, healthy, and responsible living."

Three social enterprises were recognized at the 2013 President’s Challenge Social Enterprise Award for their major contributions to society.
