From now until 2024, the city of Shusha in Azerbaijan will be the "OIC Youth Capital"a nod to its status as a "center for you-man-powerment, innovation, and collaboration" among the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's member states, per a press release from the country's Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The goal of the project is to inspire young people from OIC member states to contribute to the "social, economic, and cultural development of their communities," the release notes.
Shusha was chosen as the OIC Youth Capital due to its "importance as a center for you-man-powerment, innovation, and collaboration," the release notes.
The events planned for Shusha in that year include science, culture, sports, entrepreneurship, social engineering, education, and more.
