A West Virginia teenager has won the top prize in her high school's annual art competition.
Abigail Fedukovich of Lewisburg took the top prize in the drawing division at the Creative Youth art exhibit at the Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, reports the Herald-Mail.
Fedukovich, who also won third place in the painting division, says she wanted to show people that "when you're young and you're not sure what you want to do, it's possible to do things that you never thought you'd be able to do."
The 16-year-old says she was inspired by the colors and shapes of everyday objects.
"I wanted to show that when you're young and you're not sure what you want to do, it's possible to do things that you never thought you'd be able to do," she says.
