The American Nurses Association has announced the winners of its annual Innovation Awards, which honor nurse innovators who are working to improve patient safety and health outcomes.
Among the winners: Team Award: Lena Gould, EdD, CRNA, founder and CEO of the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program, which aims to promote and advance diversity within graduate nurse anesthesia programs.
Her program trains nurses of color, who have historically been underrepresented in such programs, to provide better health outcomes for the diverse population.
Individual Award:wamane Liddell, JD, DNP, founder and CEO of ThriveLink, which makes it easier for low-income people to apply for government assistance.
