The Sunday Mail has named its Entrepreneur of the Week: Ethel Mupambwa, a certified digital finance practitioner from Zimbabwe.
Mupambwa is the CEO of MoneyMart Finance, where she works with low-income micro-entrepreneurs who are typically excluded from mainstream financial services, the paper reports.
Mupambwa, who grew up in a financially excluded area in rural Zimbabwe, says her "passion lies in working with women who lack access to funding and financial solutions, particularly low-income micro-entrepreneurs like vegetable vendors who are typically excluded from mainstream financial services."
She was recently named among the African Business Heroes of 2020 in a Jack Ma Foundation initiative and is the Businesswoman of the Year at the Zimbabwe National Business and Leadership Awards.
