The crown prince of Abu Dhabi has donated $10 million to fight climate change, the New York Times reports.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum made the donation to the Al Ghurair Foundation, a charity founded by Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, who is also the chairman of the United Arab Emirates' Central Bank.

The Al Ghurair Foundation works with schools, universities, and businesses in the UAE to fight climate change.

"We live in a time marked by the urgent need for climate solutions," Al Ghurair writes on the foundation's website.

"The concept is clear: businesses drive economic growth, while philanthropy, by addressing areas often strained by environmental and social challenges, complements, and strengthens government initiatives."

The Al Ghurair Foundation has already helped more than 100,000 young Emirati and Arab students learn about climate change. Read the Entire Article
