Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is expanding its reach in four new counties thanks to a $725,000 grant from the CenterPoint Energy Foundation, the Houston Chronicle reports.
The grantsof which $14.8 million was awarded in 2023went to projects in Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Ohio, and Texas.
"As we reflect on the impact of the Foundation's funding in 2023, we are filled with renewed enthusiasm to continue building meaningful partnerships with our community stakeholders," a CenterPoint Energy rep says in a press release.
More than 164,000 books were distributed in 2023 as a result of the grants.
"Our focus remains on investing in initiatives which enhance lives today and lay the groundwork for a better tomorrow," the rep says.
