Foundation has awarded $250,000 in grants to 15 Rhode Island nonprofit organizations working to make the state a better place to live, the Providence Journal reports.
Among the recipients: The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Foundation, Family Service of Rhode Island, the Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre, Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England, GLBTQ Legal Advocates and Defenders, Haus of Codec, Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island, Newport Pride, Project Weber, Providence Public School District, Queer.Archive.
Work, the Rhode Island Public Health Foundation, Sojourner House, Youth Pride Inc., and the Steel Yard.
The grants range from $2,400 to $10,000.
