The DuPage Foundation has awarded more than $600,000 in grants to 46 DuPage County not-for-profit organizations, including $15,000 to CREO DuPage to help Latino middle and high school students prepare for and complete college degrees, the Chicago Tribune reports.
"We are always energized by the potential for each funded project to make a meaningful difference for our residents and community," DuPage Foundation Vice President for Programs Barb Szczepaniak said in a press release.
CREO, which translates to "I believe," is a non-profit in Glen Ellyn, Ill., that provides college-educated mentors to more than 37 high school students and has helped another 20 students enroll in colleges and universities since 2020.
