The Washington, DC-based think tank Stimson Center has been around for 35 years, and it's about to reach a "major milestone" with the hiring of two new directors, CEO Brian Finlay says in a press release.
Phil Recchio has been named director of development, tasked with "identify and engage the next generation of partners, philanthropists, and corporate leaders who can play a critical role in supporting Stimson's ongoing work," per the release.
As director of communications, Justine Sullivan will "build the institutional strategies that demonstrate the thought leadership of Stimson's global network of research experts and policy analysts," per the release.
"The Stimson Center has cultivated some of the greatest foreign policy minds of our time, and I look forward to working across the organization to develop the research products and activities that can deliver Stimson expertise and analysis to decisionmakers at all levels," says Sullivan, who adds she's "thrilled to be joining the Stimson team at such a critical juncture for international peace and security, justice, and sustainability."
Recchio has more than 15 years of nonprofit leadership, board management, and major gift fundraising experience, per the release.
