If you're an entrepreneur looking to make a "tangible impact" on the world, Saint-Gobain may have just the thing for you.
The global building materials company is holding its first-ever Startup Challenge in Singapore, looking for solutions to "reduce carbon through low-carbon construction materials, energy efficiency materials, well-being and comfort, and renovation tech," per a press release.
Specifically, it's looking for solutions "to promote circularity and sustainability in the construction industry through alternative raw materials (eg,cement and sand alternatives), revalorizing waste through recycling and carbon capture, and exploring resale marketplaces."
Interested parties need to submit a three-day proposal by Aug.
6 to be considered.
If you win, you'll get $30,000 to work with Saint-Gobain on a three-day immersion program in Singapore, as well as access to the company's "industry deep-dive," mentorship, and "exclusive access to Saint-Gobain's global networks," per the press release.
The winner of the competition, which is open to startups in any business area, will get $3 million to work with Saint-Gobain on a product or service, the release notes.
