Those are the words of Graciela Tiscareno-Sato, aka Captain Mama, in a press release announcing her as the event's first-ever Spanish-language announcer on Saturday, May 20.
"This may be the first time in USairshow history that airshow spectators will be able to hear the show's narration in Spanish," Tiscareno-Sato writes on her website.
The Oregon International Airshow will take place at the Hillsboro Airport in Hillsboro, Ore., between 6pm and 9:30pm on Friday, May 19; 9am and 4:30pm on Saturday, May 20; and from 9am to 4:30pm on Sunday, May 21.
Tiscareno-Sato, an Air Force veteran and author of the Captain Mama children's aviation books, will also serve as a bilingual educator at three elementary schools.
