The Children's Corner at the 27th Muscat International Book Fair, currently underway in Oman, is a place where kids can learn about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in an effort to boost their cognitive and creative skills, the Times of Oman reports.

There's even a 3D-printing workshop for kids, according to a press release from the fair.

"We saw there is a great awareness among the present family about their children, and they choose what suits their age and imagination," says a member of the committee that's in charge of the Children's Corner.

There are 166 activities taking place at the fair, with 51 writers and artists from Oman and seven writers and artists from the Arab world taking part.

Among them: a mental arithmetic circle, an artistic workshop inspired by the Omani heritage, a presentation of the first experience in Oman and the Gulf represented in the interactive stories program in the Omani dialect, synthetic workshops for traditional handicrafts, pottery and colouring, programming, innovation, sign language for children, and the art of speaking (toastmasters), in addition to educational entertainment competitions.

The fair runs until March 4. Read the Entire Article
