The Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Foundation and the Arkansas Community Foundation are offering a total of $1 million in grants to African-American or under-served nonprofits in the state, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports.
The money is available to "nonprofits with programs focusing on education, youth development, strengthening families and economic development," according to a press release.
Interested parties can apply online through April.
"It's critically important that we continue to support organizations facing new challenges created by the pandemic," says Charles Stewart, chair of the ABHOF.
"Typically, our grants range from $1,000 to $2,500, but may approach $5,000 in special circumstances."
