"We hope the tools and resources shared today will open doors opportunity and spark new dreams for our youth to build on Dr. King's legacy," State Farm corporate responsibility manager Tanya James says.

On the second day of a two-day service initiative in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., employees of the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm helped 50 students learn about technology at an Innovation Expo and Tech Gifting event at Atlanta's Bessie Branham Park and Recreation Center.

The event included a 3D printing station, drone station, STEM kit station, and video editing and camera station, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"Together with our partners at State Farm, and through events like today's Innovation Expo and Tech Gifting, we are committed to advancing Atlanta's youth and providing safe spaces where they can learn and grow," says Hawks' Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Basketball Programs Jon Babul.

State Farm and the Hawks have worked with seven Good Neighbor Clubs in Atlanta, including the one at Branham, in the past.

The gift of new technology to the clubs included laptops, flat screen TVs, gaming consoles, 3D printers, cameras, ceiling projectors, charging stations, tablets, and more. Read the Entire Article
