Build Navigates Federal Funding Whiplash

Every year, $500,000 of that state grant funds BUILD's violence prevention, gang intervention and youth development resources in Austin and Humboldt Park.

Earlier this month, BUILD announced that Bradly Johnson would assume the role permanently.

"We would have lost prevention services, crisis response and the stabilizing support that many of our young people and families need," Johnson said.
