In a latest Clarin (the largest newspaper in Argentina) piece opposite the editorial page, author Edgardo Nestor De Vincenzi writes that global citizens and creative individuals must inevitably involve multidisciplinary training, which includes sexual education.
De Vincenzi shares a study by the World Confederation of Education and Interamerican Open University in Argentina, which finds that that 85% of parents of public and private schoolchildren in greater Buenos Aires see sexual education at school as positive.
The author then highlights the importance of including Integral Sexual Education at all three levels of schooling — introductory, primary and secondary.
He also admonishes that parents must also be prepared when it comes to communicating with their children in general.
De Vincenzi calls for more discussion and action, need to continue working with the mindset that while there are still people in this world who lack access to quality education.
